Texas Schoolwork is LEGIT

So I was watchin an episode of Friday Night Lights on hulu (remember when i said I was really bored?).  The character Tyla is having a conversation with her new boyfriend (after she broke up with a paralyzed guy!! Friday Night Lights!!! That is DRAMA.) and he asks her how she is doing in “Calculus.”  She corrects him, calling it “advanced placement trig.”

Advanced Placement Trig?  AP Trig?!!!  What the F?

So then I looked it up.  Do some high schools actually offer this?  This is a real class?  What’s next, AP Algebra I?  AP times tables!  AP long division!

I mean, there is plenty of trig in Calculus, but she says she isn’t taking Calc.  Upon further investigation, it looks like there is no AP trig.  Stupid Friday Night Lights, I can’t believe you guys messed up like that.  I also can’t believe I just took the time to write this.

Duke-Wake Forest 2nd half live blog

We haven’t done a live blog in awhile.  This seems like a big game.  Here’s another place doing a live blog.  We will crush them.

Keno Davis’ halftime speech

Providence College is a decent team.  Being a decent team, they are occasionally ahead of good teams.  This year Providence has had halftime leads against many opponents, even really good opponents.  PC has had halftime leads over Marquette, Louisville, and only a 4 point deficit AT Uconn.

In my mind here is what head coach keno davis tells his crew at the break…

Keno: Hey guys great half.  We’re totally in this thing.  Wey awesome job.

Kevin F*kin Durant

Just letting you guys know. my new favorite player is the next GOAT. After he dropped 47 yesterday with a nice clutch 3 only to have the game stolen by Chris Paul, I KNOW we’re experiencing something special. He strokes it well from 3 (that’s how he won HORSE) and he can dominate whenever he feels like it. Even when he’s having an off game he’s pretty much amazing. KD is currently 4th in the L in scoring (yes, you read that correctly), ahead of studs Dirk, Granger, and anyone not named Kobe, LeBron, or Dwyane.

A WTBP Mystery

Not much to talk about lately.  My most recent idea for a post was:  “So Rudy Fernandez should’ve gotten higher scores in the dunk contest.  …um yeah.”

Because of lack of topics, I feel I can mention something a little less pertinent to, well, anything.  One of our administrators edited the title of my last post.  I had written “Jumboton Dude” as the title, but as you’ll see below, it is now “Jumbotron Dude.”  The problem is that I had already added the tag “too lazy to fix spelling mistakes,” and now this tag makes no sense.

So which one did it?

Why he might have done it: Desire to make me look stupid.  Perhaps tried to make it more ghett0 like “Jumbotro’ ” or something but accidentally spelled it right.

Why he probably didn’t:  Way too lazy

2. Eaglesforever

Why he might have done it: Desire to make me look stupid.  Also, his dad has been in the jumbotron business for 65 years.

Why he probably didn’t:  Hasn’t visited the site in like 4 months

3. Socalsports31

Why she might have done it: Desire to make me look stupid. Actually cares about “professionalism” on a blog that only exists to push for a Sarah Palin presidency in 2012.  Also, cannot agree with me ever.  In theory if I had spelled it correctly, she would have changed it to an incorrect spelling.

Why she probably didn’t: Busy writing for that other blog we won’t mention.

Duke-UNC

It’s tomorrow. I hear it’s kind of a big deal.  Sure, it’s not as big as the Duke-UNC women’s game that took place yesterday, but it’s still important.  This site will have mad coverage.  As for us, I will totally search for youtube videos immediately after the game and post them here.  Who knows, maybe some cameron crazie will bring a camera and post some videos from the student section.  Those are cool right?  Then again maybe they wont.  And maybe the game will be a blowout.  And maybe I’ll be to lazy (re: drunk/ill just forget) and I won’t post something.  What was the point of this post?  Oh yeah.  I just wasted 5 minutes.  Sweet.
