We Unethically Break News

April 23, 2009

Everyone who reads this blog regularly (just me) knows that we have mad connections and that we love to brag about them.  One of our connections came through for us yesterday, and we now have breaking news to report.

A student in the North Carolina area was talking to (or attempting to talk to) Gerald Henderson of Duke University’s men’s basketball team yesterday when Lance Thomas came by and yelled:

“He’s going to the NBA!!”

So there you have it folks, Gerald Henderson is going to the NBA.  As of right now all the major outlets have him as “probably going” or something like that.  Well, here we have him as definitely going because as I said before, we got madd connections.  Take that Jay Glazer.

And if this is kind of unethical because our connection kid wasn’t officially interviewing them, then our b.  This is a fricken blog.  I wouldn’t trust us enough to believe that we even know any students in any state anywhere.  We are pretty sketchy.  So there you go, don’t believe this report.  We aren’t reliable.

Goodnight You Princes of Providence, You Kings of New England

March 12, 2009

It's pretty much over. (AP Photo/Frank Franklin II)

Sad, sad day. Pc’s probably out of the tournament.

So who wins the tourney now that PC’s out??!!

UNC, Louisville, UConn, Wake Forest, and Duke are the teams I think can win it all (Memphis, Pitt and Oklahoma are all secretly terrible).

Duke-Wake Forest 2nd half live blog

February 22, 2009

We haven’t done a live blog in awhile.  This seems like a big game.  Here’s another place doing a live blog.  We will crush them.

Duke-UNC

February 10, 2009

It’s tomorrow. I hear it’s kind of a big deal.  Sure, it’s not as big as the Duke-UNC women’s game that took place yesterday, but it’s still important.  This site will have mad coverage.  As for us, I will totally search for youtube videos immediately after the game and post them here.  Who knows, maybe some cameron crazie will bring a camera and post some videos from the student section.  Those are cool right?  Then again maybe they wont.  And maybe the game will be a blowout.  And maybe I’ll be to lazy (re: drunk/ill just forget) and I won’t post something.  What was the point of this post?  Oh yeah.  I just wasted 5 minutes.  Sweet.

Let’s go over a few things…

January 4, 2009

UNC just lost to BC 85-78.

PC lost to BC 81-76.

Duke beat Rhode Island 82-79.

PC beat Rhode Island 66-65.

What does this mean?

Nothing of course.

FUTURE EDIT: Did anybody notice that Va Tech only score THIRTEEN points in the second half last night? woooooooow.  Our intramural team is better than that.

How Many Options…

November 17, 2008

did URI have in the second half against Duke?  Duke was almost single handedly taken out by one guy. And this one guy only had one option– the threeball.  I dunno man.

This Post is Long

August 2, 2008

Note To Reader: I started this post quite a few days ago, certain things have changed in the world since I started it. I refuse to go back and edit stuff I wrote to make it “work” or whatever. Call it honesty. Or Laziness. No, honesty, definitely honesty…

Haven’t made a (real) post in a few days. This one might take a while. Our blog’s last two posts are me talking about this dude (who no one cares about) and a picture of this dude (who no one but finger wag cares about). Also, our last comment from a “reader” features the word “fantabolous.”

My fellow Americans, the state of the blog is “Ugh”.

I have the solution: another poorly researched list that no one cares about, but might get people to argue, but probably won’t because (as previously stated 15 words ago) no one cares.

UNC fans are awful

July 13, 2008

This made me laugh.  “We’re jealous of you so we are gonna be more sportsmanlike.”  LOL.  If I was a UNC student I would be embarrassed by this.  How could they publish this in their school newspaper?  (sure, it’s from 2005, but still)

Ouch

July 5, 2008

This hurts to watch no matter what team you root for.  Stumbled across this after watching this for the billionth time. Also Ivory Latta has a sick crossover.  And here’s the response.

Shouldn’t this be a bigger story?

May 13, 2008

I got this from a blog I’ve never heard of. I have no idea how I ended up there. But isn’t this a little weird? Maybe homophobic, maybe not.

“Love…took a turn at giving clues, asking for a mall store ‘where gays go to buy clothes.’

‘Abercrombie and Fitch,’ answered Obama. Wrong. ‘The Gap,’ teammate Samantha Tubman correctly answered.”

This is a sports story because Love is former Duke basketball player Reggie Love. Basically he is a bodyguard for Obama now. They were playing taboo. IDK, that is just a weird clue.

But c’mon Obama, the song goes “I like girls that wear abercrombie and fitch.”

Hooray for the first politics post on We talkin’ ’bout practice.
